What's inside the Ascended Heroes ETB?
The Ascended Heroes Pokemon Center ETB contains 11 booster packs and two full-art foil N's Zekrom promo cards, one stamped with the Pokemon Center logo. The standard ETB sold in shops has 9 packs and one unstamped N's Zekrom. Everything else is the same in both boxes: 65 card sleeves, 40 Energy cards, the dice, a coin, the player's guide and the collector's box.

The N's Zekrom promo is exclusive to the ETB. The Pokemon Center stamped version adds a small but noticeable logo to the card art, and these stamped promos tend to hold value well among collectors who track variant printings.
The Set Itself: 295 Cards and God Packs
Ascended Heroes is the first special set of the Mega Evolution series, the series that brought Mega Evolution back to the modern Pokemon TCG in September 2025 for the first time since the XY era. The set spans 217 main cards plus 78 secret rares, covering Mega Pokemon from several generations: Mega Gengar and Mega Charizard Y alongside Mega Meganium, Mega Froslass and Mega Dragonite.
The rarity breakdown is stacked. You're looking at 33 Illustration Rares, 22 Special Illustration Rares, 14 Ultra Rares, and 7 Mega Attack Rares. God Packs are confirmed too, each containing three Mega Attack Rares and seven SIRs.
The Mega Evolution mechanic has been reworked for the Mega Evolution series. There is no Spirit Link card any more: Mega Evolution Pokemon ex follow the normal evolution rules, so the old "your turn ends" penalty from the XY era is gone, and the trade-off is that they give up three Prize cards when Knocked Out. These cards are format-defining in competitive play.
Chase Cards Worth Knowing
Every set has its hierarchy, and Ascended Heroes has a clear one. The artwork features Gengar emerging from shadows in a style that's already being compared to the best SIRs from Paldean Fates and Prismatic Evolutions.

With 22 SIRs in the set at about 1 in 70 packs, an 11-pack Pokemon Center ETB gives you roughly a 15% chance of at least one SIR. Not guaranteed, but you're in the conversation. That's more than you can say for some recent sets where the SIR pull rates felt punishing. The sheer variety of SIRs also means that even if you don't hit the Mega Gengar, you're likely pulling something with genuine secondary market value rather than a card that immediately goes into the bulk pile.
Pokemon Center ETB vs Standard Retail
The core difference is simple: 11 packs versus 9 packs. But the value gap runs deeper than two extra boosters.
The Pokemon Center version adds two extra booster packs and the second, stamped N's Zekrom promo on top of the standard contents. Standard retail ETBs from GAME or Smyths contain 9 packs, one non-stamped promo, and the same sleeves, dice, Energy cards and storage box. Pokemon Center exclusive ETBs carry that extra content and a limited production run, which is why collectors who track variant printings seek them out.

The exclusive stamp and limited distribution create genuine scarcity. Standard retail ETBs are mass-produced and widely available, which limits their long-term appreciation.
Is Ascended Heroes Worth Buying Now?
Ascended Heroes has settled into its market position since its January 2026 release. God Packs and the Mega Gengar SIR drove heavy opening demand through the spring, and the Pokemon Center ETB has since sold through at Pokemon Center UK and at Evol Vault.
If you're opening packs, the 295-card set means a deep and varied pull experience. You're not seeing the same bulk cards over and over the way you do with smaller 120-card sets. Each ETB feels different from the last, and the chase cards are genuinely exciting to pull.
If you're holding sealed, the Pokemon Center ETB has strong long-term prospects. Mega Evolution nostalgia, the largest English set ever, confirmed God Packs, and a Gengar SIR among the most valuable cards of the era. These factors don't guarantee appreciation, but they're the right ingredients.
