Odds from four release-week counts led by a 4,063-pack live-stream dataset (16 Sep 2026), cross-checked against tcgtalk and DigitalTQ; ranges span their disagreement. The darker bar is the low end of the range and the lighter bar runs to the high end. Odds for a single card assume every card of its rarity is equally likely.

What makes 30th Celebration different

Every card in 30th Celebration is foil, the Basic Energy included, and every pack holds a Pikachu Rare: 30 different Pikachu, each drawn by a different artist. Packs carry five cards rather than the usual ten, yet the hits come more often: TCGplayer counts one in roughly every three packs, against every five in other Mega Evolution sets. Special Illustration Rares land about once in every 17 to 22 packs here, against roughly one in 80 in a typical Mega Evolution set, and TCGplayer's sample of more than 3,000 packs, published on 24 September, landed inside our pull-rate ranges on every rarity it could measure.

Foil shows edge wear and surface scratches more readily than matte card, so condition decides what a pull from this set is worth, and sealed product that has never been handled is the safer way to hold it.

Futuristic Rares and the RGB Mews

30th Celebration added a new rarity, the Futuristic Rare: Mewtwo ex (157/128) and Mew ex (158/128), designed by the artist YOSHIROTTEN, who also designed the Basic Energy in every pack. One of the two turns up about once in 75 to 135 packs.

Above them sit the three RGB Rare Mews, red, green and blue prints of one artwork, marked R/RGB, G/RGB and B/RGB instead of a number. The Pokémon Company left them off the official checklist, and they are rare enough that their odds are still an estimate: one confirmed pull in 4,063 streamed packs, and none in TCGplayer's sample of more than 3,000. Our RGB Mew guide covers how rare they are.

The Classic Collection

About one pack in ten holds a Classic Collection card: 30 reprints from across the game's history, each printed on its original set number with a gold border and the 30th anniversary stamp, from Base Set Charizard (4/102) and Pikachu (58/102) to Paldea Evolved's Magikarp (203/193). Any one of them, the Charizard included, turns up about once in 270 to 330 packs. Collectors who opened Celebrations in 2021 will know the format, and if the Kanto reprints are what pulls you in, our Pokémon 151 pull rates guide covers the odds on the last set to lean this hard on original-era artwork.

30th Celebration questions

What are the chase cards in 30th Celebration?

By rarity, the chase runs from the three RGB Rare Mews through the two Futuristic Rares and the ten Special Illustration Rares to the 30 Classic Collection reprints. By value the order moves around, so the ranking above sorts them by today's price, with the odds for each.

What is the most valuable card in 30th Celebration?

An RGB Rare Mew. The three prints, red, green and blue, sell far above anything else in the set; the ranking above shows today's values, updated daily.

How many cards are in 30th Celebration?

191: the 128-card main set, 30 secret rares numbered 129 to 158, three RGB Rare Mews and 30 Classic Collection reprints. Lists that also count the eight foil Basic Energy give 199.

Is there a Pokémon Center 30th Celebration Elite Trainer Box?

Yes. It holds 11 booster packs (the retail box has 9) and two full-art Nidorina promos, one stamped with the Pokémon Center logo, plus the full accessory set.

Is there a 30th Celebration booster box?

Not in English. The set comes in Elite Trainer Boxes, collections, tins and bundles instead; our 30th Celebration booster box guide explains why.

Are Classic Collection cards tournament legal?

No. The Pokémon Company has confirmed the Classic Collection is not tournament legal. The rest of 30th Celebration is legal for Play! Pokémon events from 25 September 2026.

When did 30th Celebration come out?

16 September 2026, worldwide on the same day, a first for the Pokémon TCG. The rest of the lineup follows through to 4 December.
