Odds from TCGplayer’s count of more than 2,000 English packs opened after the 20 February 2026 release. The darker bar is the low end of the range and the lighter bar runs to the high end. Odds for a single card assume every card of its rarity is equally likely.

What the Ascended Heroes odds mean
The rates above come from TCGplayer's count of more than 2,000 English packs opened after the 20 February release. A Special Illustration Rare turned up about once in 70 packs, better than most Mega Evolution sets, but the set has 22 of them, so any one named SIR is closer to a 1 in 1,540 pull. Each of the two gold Mega Hyper Rares is about 1 in 1,080.
Ultra Rares are the tier that behaves differently here. A Mega Attack Rare takes the Ultra Rare's place in the packs where it appears, so Ultra Rares land about once in 21 packs rather than the usual one in 12, and Mega Attack Rares about once in 29. Illustration Rares stay common at roughly one pack in nine.
God Packs in Ascended Heroes
A God Pack swaps a normal pack's contents for three Mega Attack Rares and seven Special Illustration Rares. They are real, but rare enough that TCGplayer did not find one in its 2,000-pack count. The published estimates of how often they appear disagree with each other, so the pull-rate table above leaves them out.
Mega Attack Rares
Ascended Heroes introduced the Mega Attack Rare to English expansions; before it, the rarity had only appeared on English promo cards. Each one is a full-art Mega Evolution Pokémon ex drawn in a comic-book style, and there are seven: Mega Froslass ex, Mega Eelektross ex, Mega Diancie ex, Mega Hawlucha ex, Mega Gengar ex, Mega Scrafty ex and Mega Dragonite ex, numbered 265 to 271.
The Ascended Heroes chase
Twenty-two Special Illustration Rares make this the deepest chase in the era. Pikachu ex has two of them, #276 (illustrated by booota) and #277, and they sit near the top of the ranking alongside Mega Gengar ex (#284), Mega Dragonite ex (#290) and Team Rocket's Mewtwo ex (#281). The gold Mega Hyper Rares, Mega Charizard Y ex (#294) and Mega Dragonite ex (#295), are the rarer tier, yet each one, at about 1 in 1,080 packs, is an easier pull than any single SIR at about 1 in 1,540; the ranking above shows where they sit today.
Ascended Heroes products and pack counts
As a special set, Ascended Heroes has no booster box, and its packs were not sold on their own. They come in boxed products, released in waves from 30 January 2026:
- Tech Sticker Collections (3 packs), from 30 January.
- Elite Trainer Box (9 packs and a full-art N's Zekrom promo), Pokémon Center Elite Trainer Box (11 packs) and Mini Tins (2 packs), from 20 February.
- Premium Poster Collection (10 packs), from 20 March.
- Booster Bundle (6 packs), from 24 April.
- Also: Mega ex Boxes (4 packs), the First Partners Pin Collection (5 packs) and 2-pack Collections.
The Pokémon Center Elite Trainer Box adds two packs to the retail box, two full-art N's Zekrom promos (the one with the Pokémon Center stamp comes only in this box), 65 sleeves, 40 Energy, dice, a plastic Dragonite coin, the player's guide and a storage box with six dividers. Our Ascended Heroes ETB guide goes through it piece by piece, and Ascended Heroes or Perfect Order compares the two sets. Browse the Ascended Heroes range or join the drop alerts for Pokémon Center restocks.
Where Ascended Heroes comes from
Ascended Heroes combines Japan's MEGA Dream ex, released on 28 November 2025, with the new cards from Start Deck 100 Battle Collection, released on 19 December. It sits between Phantasmal Flames and Perfect Order, and our Mega Evolution sets ranked guide shows how it compares across the era.
Ascended Heroes questions
Does Ascended Heroes have good pull rates?
At the top, yes: a Special Illustration Rare in about one pack in 70 is better than most sets of the era. The trade-offs are a pool of 22 SIRs, which makes any single one a long shot, and Ultra Rares at about one in 21 packs because Mega Attack Rares share their slot.
Does Ascended Heroes have God Packs?
Yes. A God Pack holds three Mega Attack Rares and seven Special Illustration Rares. They are rare enough that none turned up in TCGplayer's 2,000-pack count, so the odds are a community estimate.
What is the rarest card in Ascended Heroes?
By tier, the two gold Mega Hyper Rares, Mega Charizard Y ex (#294) and Mega Dragonite ex (#295): one of them turns up in about one pack in 540. As single cards, though, each Special Illustration Rare is the harder pull, about 1 in 1,540 packs against 1 in 1,080 for each gold card, because 22 of them share their slot.
Is there a booster box for Ascended Heroes?
No. Ascended Heroes is a special set sold only in boxed products, such as 2-pack blisters and the 11-pack Pokémon Center Elite Trainer Box.
What comes in the Pokémon Center Ascended Heroes ETB?
Eleven packs, two full-art N's Zekrom promos (one stamped with the Pokémon Center logo, found only in this box), 65 sleeves, 40 Energy cards, six damage-counter dice and a coin-flip die, a plastic coin, the player's guide, a storage box with six dividers and a Pokémon TCG Live code card.
How many cards are in Ascended Heroes?
295, more than any English set before it: a 217-card main set and 78 secret rares.
When did Ascended Heroes come out?
The first products arrived on 30 January 2026, with the Elite Trainer Boxes following on 20 February and the Booster Bundle on 24 April.
Update log
28 Sep 2026: our Ascended Heroes pull rates guide moved here. The odds now follow TCGplayer's 2,000-pack count, which puts Ultra Rares at 1 in 21 rather than the 1 in 10 to 12 we showed before, and the God Pack contents are corrected to three Mega Attack Rares and seven SIRs.
