Pokemon Delta Reign Set Guide: Cards, Products & UK Release

Pokemon Delta Reign is the sixth main expansion of the Mega Evolution era, and it lands in English on 6 November 2026. The whole set is built around Mega Rayquaza ex. Japan has had these cards since 31 July under the name Storm Emeralda, which means we are not guessing about what's inside: the full card gallery is public and the Japanese singles market has already voted on the chases. This guide covers the confirmed cards, the new split Stadium mechanic, every announced product and the UK preorder timeline.

What Is Delta Reign?

Delta Reign is the sixth Mega Evolution expansion for the Pokemon TCG, releasing 6 November 2026 with over 135 cards. It is the English version of Japan's Storm Emeralda set and headlines Mega Rayquaza ex, backed by Mega Golisopod ex, Mega Golurk ex and Mega Malamar ex.

The main set runs to 103 cards before secret rares. The Pokemon Company confirms more than 35 Pokemon and Trainer cards with special illustrations, and the current breakdown points to 14 Illustration Rares, 17 Ultra Rares and 6 Special Illustration Rares plus the gold tier on top. The Chase Cards: Mega Rayquaza Runs This Set

The Japanese market has had three weeks to price Storm Emeralda, and the verdict is stark: this is one of the most top-heavy chase pools of the entire Mega Evolution block. Two cards carry almost all of the value, and both are Rayquaza. The cards below are the Japanese printings pictured with their Storm Emeralda numbering; English numbering will differ but the artwork carries over.

The gold Mega Rayquaza ex opened near ¥348,000 at the constrained Japanese launch, then corrected 40 to 50 percent within two weeks. It now trades around $1,100 ungraded, with the Kazuki Minami Special Art Rare at roughly $630. Then comes the cliff: third place is the Raikou ex SAR at about $75, and every other secret rare in the set sits under $50. That includes the rest of the weather trio. Kyogre and Groudon top out as Illustration Rares here, both trading around $15 to $20: fan-favourite pulls and gorgeous cards, but not value chases, which is why they sit outside the grid above. What that means in practice: pulling anything that is not Rayquaza will feel flat, but the two Rayquaza chases are strong enough to anchor whole boxes. Split Legendary Stadium Cards Are New

Delta Reign introduces the first split Legendary Stadium cards: three pairs named Legendary Ocean Trench, Legendary Summit and Legendary Lava Lake. Each pair shares one illustration printed across two cards, and both halves of a pair come in the same booster pack, so you are never left holding half a mountain. All three pairs are pictured below; only Legendary Summit has been revealed in English so far, so the other two are shown as their Japanese prints.

These are playable together in a deck, and several cards in the set key off them. The Kyogre promo included with the Elite Trainer Box, for instance, hits harder while a Legendary Stadium is in play. For collectors the appeal is obvious: matched pairs display brilliantly in a binder spread, and it is a genuinely new card shape for the hobby rather than a rarity reshuffle.

Every Confirmed Delta Reign Product

The announced lineup so far follows the standard Mega Evolution pattern:

• Elite Trainer Box: 9 booster packs, sleeves, energies and accessories, fronted by a lime-green Mega Rayquaza on a prismatic starfield. Includes an Illustration Rare style Kyogre promo.
• Pokemon Center Exclusive Elite Trainer Box: everything above plus 2 extra packs (11 total) and the Kyogre promo stamped with the Pokemon Center logo.
• Booster Box: the full 36-pack display, with four pack arts covering Rayquaza, Golisopod, Golurk and Malamar.
• Booster Bundle: 6 packs in a compact carton, the cheapest route into the set.
• Three-pack blisters: carrying a Seel promo.

One buying note on that promo: because a copy ships in every single ETB worldwide, supply will be enormous. It is a genuinely lovely card, but it will never be an expensive one, so buy the box for the packs, not the promo. Tins and special collections usually join the lineup closer to launch; nothing beyond the products above is confirmed yet.

UK Release Date and Preorder Timeline

The UK release date is the global one: Friday 6 November 2026, with prerelease events running 24 October to 1 November. Pokemon Center preorders are expected to open in September, roughly a month ahead of release, and if the last three sets are any guide the Pokemon Center exclusive ETB allocation will be gone within hours. Wider UK retail preorders typically follow after Pokemon Center goes live.

Should You Preorder Delta Reign?

Yes, if you are chasing Rayquaza; selectively, if you are not. The honest read on this set is that it is a two-card lottery with a beautiful supporting cast. The Illustration Rare line is strong, the Stadium pairs are a real novelty, and Mega Rayquaza ex is the kind of era-defining gold card that holds attention for years. But the value cliff after the top two chases is steeper than Pitch Black, and Japan has already shown that launch-week prices for the big cards correct hard once supply lands.
