Mega Rayquaza ex is the headline card of Delta Reign, the Mega Evolution set that lands in English on 6 November 2026. Japan has had it since 31 July in Storm Emeralda, so all four versions, their pull rates and their prices are already known. The cards below show the chance of pulling each version from a pack and a box, and what each one is worth today. Values update every day.

Every Mega Rayquaza ex Card
Storm Emeralda prints Mega Rayquaza ex four times, and each version carries over to Delta Reign as its English equivalent:
- Double Rare, 058/076. The standard card, illustrated by takuyoa. In English it is Delta Reign 084/103, and it is the version you will pull most often.
- Super Rare, 095/076. The full art by 5ban Graphics, which becomes an Ultra Rare in English.
- Special Art Rare, 110/076. Kazuki Minami's illustration, a Special Illustration Rare in English and the second most valuable card in the set.
- Mega Ultra Rare, 113/076. The gold card: takuyoa's artwork etched in gold, and the only card in its tier. In English it becomes a Mega Hyper Rare.
English numbers for the three secret-rare versions arrive with the full English card list, expected in late October, and we will add them here when it lands. The Storm Emeralda vs Delta Reign guide covers what else changes between the two releases.
Mega Rayquaza ex Pull Rates
Our odds come from a 1,380-pack Storm Emeralda sample, cross-checked against a second source. It is the same data the pull rate calculator runs on. A Japanese pack holds 5 cards and a Japanese booster box holds 30 packs, which puts each version at:
- Mega Ultra Rare: 1 in 690 to 3,000 packs, or one in roughly 23 to 100 Japanese boxes.
- Special Art Rare: 1 in 540 to 4,140 packs for this exact card, because it shares its tier with five other Special Art Rares.
- Super Rare: 1 in 180 to 270 packs, or one in roughly 6 to 9 boxes.
- Double Rare: a double rare lands in about 1 in 5 packs, and this is one of eight in the set.
The ranges are wide because the two rarest tiers rest on only a handful of observed pulls. We show the range rather than invent a single figure.
English odds will be different. English packs hold 10 cards and Delta Reign adds 27 cards to the main set, so treat the Japanese figures as the shape of the set rather than English odds. For context, the five English Mega Evolution main sets so far have put their gold Mega Hyper Rares at roughly 1 in 950 to 1,800 packs, about one in every 26 to 50 English booster boxes. We will swap in English Delta Reign rates once a large English opening sample is published, usually within two weeks of release. To feel what these odds are like in practice, the pack opening simulator opens Storm Emeralda packs at the same rates.
What Is Mega Rayquaza ex Worth?
The gold version is the most valuable card in Storm Emeralda by a distance, and the Special Art Rare is a clear second. Every other card in the set, Rayquaza or not, trades for a small fraction of either. The Super Rare full art sits in the middle, and the standard double rare is a bulk-priced card.
Launch-day listings in Japan put the gold card near ¥348,000 and the Special Art Rare between ¥118,000 and ¥138,000. The gold card held close to that for the first week while the Special Art Rare roughly halved, and both have settled well below their launch prices since. The values at the top of this page are ungraded TCGplayer market prices for the Japanese cards, refreshed daily.
Two things to know before you buy a single. These are Japanese prints: the English cards build their own market from 6 November, and the two languages rarely trade at the same price for the same card. And prices for a brand-new release move fastest in the first few weeks, so a figure from a fortnight ago can be well out of date.
Mega Rayquaza ex vs M Rayquaza-EX From 2015
Search for Mega Rayquaza and most results are about a different card. M Rayquaza-EX, with a capital EX, was printed in 2015 in XY Roaring Skies, including a full art, with a shiny version in Ancient Origins and a 2021 reprint in Celebrations. Those cards come from long-finished sets and have their own prices. Mega Rayquaza ex, with a lower-case ex, is the 2026 card from Storm Emeralda and Delta Reign. The rules changed too: the 2015 card evolved from Rayquaza-EX and ended your turn when it did, while the 2026 card is a Basic Pokemon you play straight to the Bench, and it gives up three Prize cards when it is Knocked Out. Pokemon TCG Pocket also has digital Rayquaza cards, which are not physical cards at all.
Where to Find Mega Rayquaza ex
Mega Rayquaza ex comes from booster packs. None of the Delta Reign products announced on 20 August includes it as a guaranteed card: the Elite Trainer Box promo is Kyogre. The Delta Reign set guide covers the full lineup, from the 9-pack Elite Trainer Box and the 11-pack Pokemon Center Elite Trainer Box to the 36-pack booster box and the 6-pack booster bundle.
