The Set: Mega Evolution — Pitch Black

Pitch Black is the fifth English expansion of the Mega Evolution era and the first to draw its Mega roster from Mega Dimension. The English set runs an 84-card main list plus secret rares — more than 115 cards in total — including 6 Mega Evolution Pokémon ex, 4 Pokémon ex, 11 Illustration Rares, 18 Ultra Rares and 6 Special Illustration Rares. Mega Darkrai ex headlines as the set mascot, backed by Mega Zeraora ex, Mega Chandelure ex and Mega Excadrill ex. It localises Japan's Abyss Eye expansion, whose secret-rare lineup has already set the early market hierarchy for the English print.

Why the Pokémon Center Version

Pokémon Center exclusives sit in their own tier of the sealed market. The logo-stamped promo is the marker collectors index on — it is the difference between a Pitch Black ETB and the Pitch Black ETB, and it never appears in retail distribution.
