Odds from TCGplayer’s 1,200-pack dataset and tcgtalk’s published rates; ranges span their disagreement. The darker bar is the low end of the range and the lighter bar runs to the high end. Odds for a single card assume every card of its rarity is equally likely.

The Prismatic Evolutions odds, explained
The pull-rate table spans two sources that disagree: TCGplayer opened more than 1,200 packs at release, and tcgtalk's published rates landed at the other end of each range. A Special Illustration Rare turns up about once in 45 to 53 packs, which is generous, but 32 cards share that slot, so any named one, Umbreon ex included, works out at roughly 1 in 1,440 to 1,700.
That makes a specific SIR rarer than a specific gold card: the five Hyper Rares land about once in 152 to 180 packs between them, so each one is around 1 in 760 to 900. There are no Illustration Rares at all, and the 12 Ultra Rares are full-art Trainer cards, the tier the two counts disagree on most, from one in 13 packs to one in 26.
Umbreon ex and the Eeveelution SIRs
Nine of the Special Illustration Rares follow the Eevee line: Leafeon ex (#144), Flareon ex (#146), Vaporeon ex (#149), Glaceon ex (#150), Jolteon ex (#153), Espeon ex (#155), Sylveon ex (#156), Umbreon ex (#161) and Eevee ex (#167). Umbreon ex, illustrated by YASHIRO Nanaco, leads the set's values by a wide margin, and the other Eeveelutions fill much of the ranking above.
The five gold Hyper Rares are Iron Leaves ex, Teal Mask Ogerpon ex, Walking Wake ex, Pikachu ex and Terapagos ex, numbered 176 to 180.
Poké Ball and Master Ball reverse holos
Prismatic Evolutions prints two extra reverse holo patterns alongside the standard one. The Poké Ball pattern appears on Trainer cards and on Pokémon that are not ex; the rarer Master Ball pattern appears only on those Pokémon, about once every 19 to 20 packs.
The set also carries six ACE SPEC Rares, the Trainer cards with the magenta border: Max Rod, Maximum Belt, Prime Catcher, Scoop Up Cyclone, Sparkling Crystal and Treasure Tracker, about one in every 21 to 29 packs.
God Packs in Prismatic Evolutions
English Prismatic Evolutions God Packs are real. They are built around the Eevee line, though reports differ on the exact contents, and no tracker has opened enough packs to measure how often they appear, so the pull-rate table above leaves them out.
Prismatic Evolutions products
As a special set, Prismatic Evolutions had no booster box. Its packs came in boxed products released in waves:
- 17 January 2025: Elite Trainer Box (9 packs), Pokémon Center Elite Trainer Box (11 packs and two Eevee promos, one with the Pokémon Center stamp), Tech Sticker Collections (3 packs), Poster Collection and Binder Collection.
- 7 February: Mini Tins (2 packs each) and the Surprise Box.
- 7 March: Booster Bundle (6 packs).
- Later in 2025: the Accessory Pouch, the Super-Premium Collection (16 May) and the Premium Figure Collection.
Every pack carries the same odds whichever box it came in. The pack opening simulator lets you open Prismatic Evolutions packs for free.
Where Prismatic Evolutions comes from
Prismatic Evolutions is the English release of Japan's Terastal Festival ex, which came out on 6 December 2024. It arrived between Surging Sparks and Journey Together, and the Card Lists hub has every other set we cover in full.
Prismatic Evolutions questions
Does Prismatic Evolutions have good pull rates?
Per pack, yes: a Special Illustration Rare in roughly one pack in 45 to 53 beats most recent sets. The complaint is the size of that pool. With 32 SIRs, hunting one particular card, like Umbreon ex, takes around 1,440 to 1,700 packs on average.
What are the odds of pulling Umbreon ex in Prismatic Evolutions?
About 1 in 1,440 to 1,700 packs for the Special Illustration Rare, the same as any other named SIR in the set. Even a nine-pack Elite Trainer Box gives well under a 1% chance.
What is the rarest card in Prismatic Evolutions?
Any single Special Illustration Rare. The gold Hyper Rares are the rarest tier, but with only five of them each one comes about once in 760 to 900 packs, while each of the 32 SIRs is closer to one in 1,440 to 1,700.
Does Prismatic Evolutions have God Packs?
Yes, in English too, built around the Eevee line. How often they appear has never been measured; the odds quoted for them are community estimates.
Is there a booster box for Prismatic Evolutions?
No. Prismatic Evolutions is a special set sold in boxed products instead: Elite Trainer Boxes, bundles, tins and collections.
How many cards are in Prismatic Evolutions?
180: a 131-card main set plus 49 secret rares, among them the 32 Special Illustration Rares and five gold Hyper Rares.
When did Prismatic Evolutions come out?
17 January 2025 in English, six weeks after Japan's Terastal Festival ex on 6 December 2024.
